What should I consider when choosing a home care provider?

First and foremost, you want to be sure that the care agency is bonded, and fully insured with worker's comp, general and professional liability insurance. Furthermore, the care provider should not only be compatible with your loved one, but should have successfully passed the background check with DOJ fingerprint clearance, and is registered with State of California Home Care Organization Registry in addition to having the necessary experience to perform the task at hand. Dementia experience is always a plus.  

Are your staff certified professionals?

We have trained caregivers, home health aides, certified nursing assistants and licensed nurses. Our staff go through extensive trainings in caregiving and dementia-related topics upon hire, on-going and annually. You can rest assure that our staff are highly qualified, and ready to provide exceptional and compassionate care.

 

Do you provide free consultations before we decide on a home care professional?

Definitely! Our care manager will meet with you and answer any questions you may have. Together, we can formulate a personalized care plan to meet your needs.

How much will the care cost?

In general, Medicare and Medicaid do not pay for home care. BUT long-term care insurance may cover the costs depending on what type of policy you have. Care cost is typically paid through private pay and varies depending on services rendered. Our rate starts at $32/hour for our care partner.
